9/11 means other things too

My whine(?) for the month (I try not to very often):
I remember when September 11 was a regular day and it just meant it was my birthday (and probably 1/365th of everyone else in the world’s birthday too) it was special to me. These last few years it’s been more of an anti-holiday. It’s been nice that it hasn’t been overshadowed with depressing stuff this year, but it’s probably partially due to the other disaster’s going on right now so it’s not really a plus… :(

  1. I don’t see anything wrong with celebrating your birthday regardless of when it occurs. Surviving another year is something to be proud of.

    Happy Birthday!

  2. celebrate your birthday and don’t feel guilty about it. If you can’t act like 9/11 is another day, you’re giving those terrorist people what they want.. power to ruin our lives, or at least throw a wrench into it.

  3. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Go out and celebrate for what it is to you and not what it has been the last few years. And smile…everyone deserves a great birthday!

  4. Don’t let the terrorists win. Celebrate your birthday and have fun.

  5. Hello, Gary. Just stopping by to wish you a very Happy Birthday. I agree with Dave, surviving another year is something to be proud of!
    Celebrate YOU.

  7. Many Happy Returns Gary! Enjoy yourself and celebrate being you :)

  8. More info on the Birthday….

So for my birthday last weekend a group of us went to play Whirly Ball, picture a playing catch with a whiffle ball and scoops, but you’re shooting for a target at the end of the court and you’re driving bumper cars (no, I’m not kidding). It’s hysteric…
