Podcasting

Written By: Gary from http://GarySaid.com/ on November 27, 2004 No Comments

As they’d say on Jeopardy, “What is Podcasting?”. This is the greatest new thing people with iPods (or other mp3 players) use to get their own custom “radio shows”. People on-line have been doing different kinds of audio broadcasts for a while now. Places like ITconversations or people doing audio blogs (etc.) have been puting the audio out there but you would have to go get it and put it on your player. With programs like iPodder you can subscribe to these services and automatically check and pull them down and put them in your iTunes to be synced automatically the next type you plug in your iPod. Not all audio programs out there are subscribe-able yet. I’ll list some of the programs below that I like and you can subscribe or just listen. To subscribe you’ll need the RSS feed for that site so if you’re just looking you’ll want to check out the main site.

Different services out there that you might like I like are:

  • IT Conversations RSS
  • Inside Mac Radio RSS
  • Reel Reviews RSS
  • PurpleStars: daily adventures of a techy girl RSS
  • The Laporte Report Audio Edition RSS
  • Engadget Podcast RSS
