From the time you get up in the morning until the time you go to bed at night, how many different digital/electronic devices do you use on any given day? Please consider listing them, as it would be interesting to see what everyone comes up with!
A timer automatically turns on a light about 10 minutes before my alarm, the digital alarm clock goes off (playing a CD), I use my remote to turn lights on and off, I use my garage door opener, I play my iPod, I use my cell phone (which is also my day planner), I use the computer at work (and that’s all before lunch).

I start my car with the electronic start, I use the digital counting machine to return pop cans and bottles (on my lunch break, the bottle machine was broken when I bought groceries yesterday and they were still in my car), I use my work cell phone, the copier, my work phone, my laptop, the printer, my answering machine, my TV remote, my stereo remote, my TiVo remote, the timer on my stove, my home computer, my home phone, my other home computer to sync my palm/phone. I used many of those multiple times. That’s not even counting the inadvertent use of things like the Wifi router in my home and other devices on timers and I’m sure there were many more but none come to mind this second…

1. Bed & Breakfast or hotel?
B & B is the preference. But I also like the hotel with hot tub, pool, bar and WifI…
2. What determines where you stay?(i.e. price, accommodations, transportation, travel package)
Price helps, next trip it’s part of the package. It was the only way to make the flight affordable and it seems like we ended up with a great place.
3. When determining where to stay, do you ever consider the establishment’s history? (i.e. it might be haunted, location of high profile crime)
If it were interesting but not something I “shop” for when making plans.
4. Would such considerations sway your decision?
I might avoid the ghost. Or pay extra to know that einstein was conceived there…
5. Do you try and read the local paper for where you’re visiting, to get an idea of what the area’s like?
Definitely! I want to see what the people and area are like! I want a cafe to hang out at, maybe a bar or bookstore and want them to know my name or at least my order by the time I’m gone…

Raising Helen last night at the theater, it was fun.
2. What were you doing on the internet before coming here?
Poking around trying to see if any of the students in the school district where I work blog (or have sites) on the net. I know some do, but the search engines didn’t pick them up…

Blue or red.
4. Who was the last person you talked to on the phone?
Hmm… Mark? (on his way back to the Detroit area from Lansing.)
5. When is your birthday? (month and day)
September 11th (every year).
6. How organized is your computer desk?
Not even close to organized, neither is my computer desktop.
7. How many calendars do you have in your house?
Zero.
8. Do you clip coupons and use them when doing your grocery shopping?
I used to, now I cut them and either forget them at home, leave them in the car or they are out of that item at the store…
9. Are you a morning person or a night owl?
Night person. Always have been, but lately I’ve been more disciplined.
10. Did you enjoy your weekend?
It was okay, got caught up on some sleep, grocery shopping, laundry and some computing. Saw friends which was nice…

  1. Describe what you believe is a “good” driver. Uses their blinker! It doesn’t matter how crazy they are if I know where they are, I can get out of the way.
  2. Describe a “bad” driver (your opinion of course). No blinker. Changes lanes erratically. Hits other others. Displays road rage!
  3. Which category do you fit in? Please back up your answer. Feel free to use examples! I blink! Always! Generally in advance. When stopping at lights I get too close to the car in front of me (for my passengers comfort). It’s be a while since I’ve been in an accident (and it wasn’t my fault). I used to be a little crazier in high school. A ride with me was considered an “E ticket” ride (or initiation)…
