  • Friday’s Mega Millions is up to $179 Million! So spend a buck and if you win, remember I only need a $1,000,000 tip for the suggestion. For a second million I’ll build a computer lab at an underprivileged school and teach (volunteer) their computer classes (this is in the vicinity of where I retire from the first million, probably Costa Rica). It’s only $110 million if you take the cash option, so take away the taxes and it’s a measly $70 million dollars…
  • Torchwood is on tonight and it’s by the same writer as last week’s “Meat” episode! More secrets of Captain Jack’s past…
  • I really need groceries, but I don’t feel like going shopping. Anyone want to run some errands for me?!?
  • One of my best friends, Melissa, landed in Costa Rica a few hours ago and I’m SO jealous!!

So eight people at a meat packing plant split the $365 million PowerBall prize. 8Powerballwinners365Mil After taxes it was about $15 million a piece! That’s great I’d hate to see one person get all that (unless it was me) it’s just so much money. It’s going to affect so many more people this way. The people ranged from 26-56 years old and some had played for years and some played just a few times. This is the way I like to see the wealth spread!

I’ve got more info (and how I’d start spending $365 million) in my earlier post. Read the full story at CNN.com

So if I managed to hit the lottery and get a few hundred million I’m thinking I’d want to share it with my readers. To prove you’re a reader I’d have to have some kind of requirement like you’ve posted a comment in the last six months or something like that; that’s beside the point but it might be a reason to start commenting. I only get a few hundred commenters every six months so what’s a few thousand bucks per commenter if I just got a couple hundred million?

So here’s the sharing part: Assuming I offer you your dream laptop what would you pick (it must exist, you can’t make up a non-existant machine) and why? I don’t need model numbers, I’m just wondering what features you’ve want/need and what you’d use it for. In good faith, this would need to be a laptop for you to keep and use, not sell.

Of course, this would also include a year of paid subscription to one of the wireless networks like T-mobile (Border’s and such), WayPort (McDonalds and Aiports) or some service I’m not aware of (you did put WiFi in your dream machine didn’t you?). Which service would you want/use the most?

How come you never see a newspaper that reads “Psychic Wins Lottery!”? Statistically, you’d think one would have won by now…

That’s all I have on this topic. And 75% of that was stolen from someone’s sig file (that they probably saw somewhere else), I wasn’t planning on mentioning it (or I’d have someone to quote) but it stuck in my head so I stuck it on the ‘blog.

Picture 23MegaMillions is up to $106 Million… Do I need to say anything more?!?

Just keep me in mind if you win! Especially if I’m what reminded you to buy a ticket…

FYI – They are changing the game in two ways come the 22nd of this month. The first is that California is joining the game which will be interesting if the jackpot keeps growing until then. The other is that they are increasing the number of balls and the payoffs of all the prizes.

The odds of winning will get smaller but they are pretty small already…
