I thought it was funny, you might not :)
So this kid Trevor plays songs on the computers at Apple stores and records videos of himself dancing to them and posts them to YouTube.
They’re entertaining and he’s certainly not shy! I actually heard about him because someone else was complaining about the girls in the background making fun of him in a different video and that they’re the ones that look like idiots…
I’m wondering out if Trevor is really just marketing for “Active”, he sure wears a lot of shirts with their name on it. And as far as I know, the other shirts could be their brand too.
And if that’s not the case, why the heck isn’t someone paying him to wear their shirts?!?
Either way, it looks like he’s having fun and that’s all that matters. I’m not sure how old he is, but he did comments on being 5’1″.
So all I could think when I read this is “Where’s my Jet Pack?”, which is what I thought I’d have by now. The cartoon is actually four frames, so you’ll have to click it for the last frame (and it’ll take you to the site that I got it from.

After clicking it, as with all xkcd cartoons, be sure to hover your mouse pointer over it for an extra punchline, while it’s not as funny, it does reference my initial needs.
Continuing the spirit of Valentine’s Day, I have a few “romantic” cartoons for you…

Have a great one!!!
So I guess I shouldn’t complain about life too much. Things could certainly be worse.
Although, that’s not really true, one of the things I learned from volunteering at the shelter (and/or the crisis hotline) is that if you’ve got problems, it doesn’t matter if someone else has it worse, they’re still your problems (and you’ve got to work them out). Although, sometimes, diagrams like the above sometimes help to put them into perspective…
Jessica Nagy does these great diagrams on index cards on a great site called “Indexed” and she’s got a book or two (or three) out with similar types of content.
Today is 10/10/10, even if you’re somewhere else in the world the date and do day/month/year or month/day/year it’s still 10/10/10! I just think this is kind of fun.
Anthony pointed out to me that 101010 in binary actually adds up to 42, which we all know is the secret to Life, the Universe and Everything (if you happen to be a Douglas Adams fan).
I think it would drive many of you all cRaZy but I think I could handle it.
Wouldn’t live be easier, if you did everything literally? Eventually things would get better after the crazy parts but I think it could be a good place to be.
Let’s not worry about the underlying themes, bring them to the top or don’t bring them at all….
Jewel dresses up as a regular person and sings her own songs! It’s a little long, but pretty funny, especially if you’re a fan…

I thought this video of the cat playing with the iPad was pretty funny. Actually it’s pretty slow at the beginning, if you click here it should start a minute in the video.
Here’s the direct link to the Cat iPad video (in case I screwed up the links above trying to start them).
I love xkcd, a cartoon about life, tech, love, science and other abstract concepts. I’ve referenced a few xkcd cartoons before, looking now I see I haven’t even mentioned a few of my favorites. I’ll have to remedy that…
You’ll have to click to see the other four frames of the cartoon.
FYI, hovering your mouse over the actual cartoon usually adds a little more to the cartoon’s story (or explains some of the geeky concepts concepts).
Would more people take the stairs instead of the escalator if it was more fun?!?
Here’s the direct link to the stairs video.
This is actually part of something called The Fun Theory which is an initiative of VW.
I stumbled across this new segment of The Ellen Show called “Know or Go” on the web. It’s a little game show segment. The best part isn’t the first contestant falling through the trap doors, it’s the reaction of the other two contestant’s when the first falls!
Here’s the direct link to the Know or Go game show video.
Will Farrell and friends speak out to help insurance companies.
Found at Feministing.
I like Will Ferrell when he’s not running around with his hair on fire (or other stupid stuff).
And yes, I know I’ve been posting too many videos lately :(
This looks pretty awesome. Until I saw the target. Video looks pretty good though.

It’s gotta be fake, a few feet short and you’d hit the platform. When I first saw it, I thought the pool was in a lake (so if you missed no big deal) but the wooden platform is just too much of a way to kill yourself if you missed (and it’s not a very big pool). So I vote “fake”…

If the internet were portrayed as a musical, this could be it.

If you’re not a Watchmen fan you probably won’t find it very funny.
Here’s the direct link to Dr. Manhattan’s Pants.
If you’ve ever taken a foreign language, you’ll love this!

Totally funny spoof of Malin Akerman’s roommate giving tours of their apartment (while she sleeps).

We don’t get another Square Root Day for another 7 years, so be sure to celebrate wisely.
Today is 3/3/09 and 3 x 3 = 9 or more accurately (for today) the square root of 9 is 3. And the beauty of it is that it’s 3/3/09 no matter if you do day/month/year or month/day/year so it works for people all over the world…
Louis CK does a routine on Conan on why we live in the best times ever! And why we are all spoiled brats. I have no idea who this philosopher comedian is, I don’t think I’ve seen him before.
You only have to was the first 60 seconds (the good stuff starts at 30). I say that because you’ll be hooked by then and watch the rest (because it just gets better).
The direct link.

Here’s a Valentine for all of you!
A Sierpinski fractal Triangle diagram but with hearts (from xkcd). It’s cute if you ‘get it’.
Historic Blockbuster Store Offers Glimpse Of How Movies Were Rented In The Past. A historical “field trip” on the way to rent videos in the past.
Here’s the direct link.
It’s totally silly, but I thought it was cute (and it’s making the rounds).
Found at Karen’s and eclecticism (within seconds of seeing it at the other place). Here’s the direct link.
It’s not as cute as my previously mentioned “Star Was as told by a 3 year old“, but how could it be?
I love Indexed! It took me a second to get this one…

Yesterday’s was good too, she drew the graph and had the readers label the data points!
Jessica has a whole book of these called indexed (of course).
I found this over at MacRumors. It’s the Simpsons at the “mApple” Store. The more you know about Apple the more inside jokes you might catch (including a poke at a 20 year old commercial).
Direct link to the mApple Simpsons video.
I usually enjoy Indexed, a site where Jessica creates simple Venn diagrams or graphs that are humorous and/or have double meanings.
Today’s was funny so I thought it was a good time to add them to my From My Feed Reader list (while slightly sticking to my list my political sites first theme).
She’s also released a book called Indexed with new “cards” and best of material in it.
So Weird Al has a new video for his song called White And Nerdy from his new album Straight Outta Lynwood. If you’re into science, computers and other dorky stuff, I hope you can laugh at yourself when you watch this one…
I just read the funnies from Sunday and I thought this was absolutely hysterical!!! I’m still laughing at this while I write this.
This silly thing is, that it probably wouldn’t make that much of a difference in the long run, I know people like it different temperatures but if they’re both cold they’re both gonna turn it up they’re both going to get warm. (But I’m still laughing)
How much ink is in a Sharpie permanent marker? Ask these folks!
Found a great site (DontForward.com) with a few humorous lists:
At least I thought they were funny.
Do you read Joy of Tech? The do funny up to date computer cartoons. You should be sure to look at the archives or check it out occasionally, they update two or three times a week.
Today’s was about if cats and dogs could blog so it’s relevant to what we are doing here (writing or reading). It definitely speaks for itself. I think it’s way funnier than the old “On the Internet no one knows you’re a dog.” cartoon.
Little Kids are so funny. I’m not just talking about the normal little kid stuff. I’m talking about when you say “good-bye”.
You can be walking away saying “good-bye” waving at little kids and and they’ll watch (generally very intently) and sometimes wave BUT it’s not until you disappear or close the door that they’ll start yelling “bye”. I saw some day care kids today and the twins* did this to me and it totally cracks me up. It’s even cracking me up as I write this. :)
I can understand to them that saying “bye” after you disappear might make some sense. BUT if we always say “bye” when the can see us, why would they even understand the bye means “gone” and wait until we are gone?
*The twins are not mine, nor are they twins, they are just two little girls that I think could be twins when I see them together.
