Spring Forward – That crazy time of year

Have I told you that I hate Daylight Savings Time lately? No, that’s probably because I only mention it twice a year. I think it’s crazy and not very helpful. That’s my two cents (and I only put in four cents a year on this topic). Does anyone really like DST?

Most importantly, don’t forget to change your clocks or you’ll be late for work tomorrow.

  1. I feel the same way! For years one of the boys would get rather ill for a few days after the time shift took place. (knock on wood we are lucky this year!).

But I totally agree, I do not see nor understand the purpose of this!

    :)

  2. i want it to ALWAYS be daylights savings time.

late to bed, late to rise – this would always give me more sunlight.

and if i can’t have it all year…well, i was really happy when i was camp director to have it lighter out longer. it meant for easier times for evening games and easier to keep track of kids (no sneaking off and getting “lost”).

also – i hate living at the beginning of the time zone. both in IL and IN, it was dark EXTRA early because of the time zone lines. very, very bad for me.

Diane – i’m sorry about your kids. do they have trouble traveling, also? (to me, it’s just a time zone change.)

  3. I’m not picky which one we choose (saved or not saved) but pick one. Someone on-line suggested that we just stick it on the 1/2 hour in the middle and leave it alone. I like that idea…

  4. I do like the fact that it is still daylight in the early evening, but I agree that it should just be left alone.

  5. I hate it. It takes me all week to recover. Since I’m normally in a mode of must sleep as much as possible, the spring ahead always kills me cause my body knows it’s missing an hour.
