Guess whose favorite artist just released seats for the orchestra pit for tonight’s show! Anyone gonna be at Meadowbrook (Rochester, MI) tonight?
Gotta go, the show starts in a few! Tori Amos

OMG! I love Tori. I saw her in 1998 (I think) for her To Venus and Back tour and it was one of the best shows I’ve been to.

Hello, Gary. I found my way here thanks to Dave (dkgoodman) leaving a handy link for me at my place yesterday.

First, let me say what an impressive blog you have here. Good Gosh, it’s a fabulous layout.

Secondly, I’m a huge Tori fan myself. (Actually, I’m moderately-sized, I just really like Tori’s music. ;) ) Congrats on getting to go to the Rochester show. I flipped out when I took a look at the setlist this morning and saw she covered Radiohead’s Karma Police! She’s done Vincent before and I know that’s very beautiful, too. Siren, Carbon… Wow, what a a great show (and Neil was in attendance from what I heard, too).

Hubby and I caught Tori at UCLA for her first go-around this tour [Hooray for that show being on the Bootleg thingy she’s releasing!] and we’ll be seeing her again in San Diego next month. Always a thrill to catch an artist you love live, but there’s something extra-special about Tori shows, I think. When Scarlet’s walk was being promoted, I called in to a local radio station and won tickets to her L.A. show and then won the grandprize drawing for tickets to NYC to be in the audience for the taping of her ‘Scarlet Sessions’ at Sony. It was amazing! Uh, so far they still haven’t released the darn thing in its entirety; don’t think they will, sigh. Anyway, I could talk music all day…. We were at the Dave Matthews Band show last night and that was fantastic, too.

Looking forward to coming back to your blog.

    – Mary
