Here’s my 100 things about me page. (If you’re looking for my 101 in 1001 days list go here.) To follow the theme that I’ve found on many other sites, partially to see what I come up with and to let others see what I come up with. I’ve broken this down a bit: I like, I dislike, I am, I’ve live in, I wish I understood more about, places I’ve been and before I die…
It’s interesting how many of these things I’ve blogged about so far…
UPDATE: December 2004/June 2005. I just came here to update this. I can’t believe how much it has not changed. The only other things are I’ve been liking my iPod (and listening to podcasting), the Scene It? DVD games and maybe some additional music groups (Katy Rose and maybe a few others) and I won’t add them until they’ve been around a bit longer. Probably “Two and a Half Men” (I laugh SO hard) and Liz Phair (added).

Interesting stuff, Gary..I just found your blogsite by accident..I’m from New York City.. I work in marketing and promotion for a corporation that makes stuff like mouthwash and toothpaste and shaving cream. Just to throw that in…
Anyway..two things stuck in my mind while reviewing your blog..thought I’d comment.
1. You like ‘kids’….hmmm..what does that mean?
You’re not a pedophile, I don’t think..(smile) But what does that mean? It’s like saying, ‘I like air’.
I think I can interpret your intention..you know, to demonstrate that you ARE marriage material and would make a great dad one day..but, the phrase “I like kids” can seem a bit creepy in this day and age..mmmmmmmmm
2. You wish you could understand more about ‘girls’. Well, Gary, seeing that you’re now no longer in your 20’s, may I suggest that the first thing you need to do is to stop referring to the opposite sex as ‘girls’?
“Girls” your age (our age) are WOMEN.
Don’t shy away from the term. We actually like being women.
Think about it: Would you like to be reffered to as a boy??…I didn’t think so.
Start by thinking of the ‘other sex’ as women and you will have made tremendous progress towards understanding them (us) better.
All the best to you in your quest for what makes sense in your world and lets you sleep at night in order to greet the day with hope and a smile.
Annette
Gary, I will also back up Annette’s comments
Due to popular demand, I’ve made a few alterations :)
I’ve changed “girls” to “women” although it was meant to be a little tongue-in-cheek, especially since it’s probably been that way since I was a boy and if I am dating, I’m their “boy-friend”.
I’ve moved “kids” to be closer to the “family” category to deflate the creepiness. You can’t spend more than 5 minutes without realizing I like kids (in a not creepy way) so it’s important enough to be in the 100 things. (Nobody thought it was creepy I liked showers?)
Although if I leave the comments it kind of defeats the changing of the post since it shows what I’ve changed it from.
I’ve never considered this to be a list about dating or attracting a mate. It’s a list about me, but I wouldn’t put WiFi or Time Travel on a list for that purpose.
It’s just a list. I like reading, I like movies, etc. It’s not specific about any of the categories in terms of what I like about them.
When you find out ‘why’….let me know why! ;o)
When I saw you refer to smarties as the chocolate kind…I thought perhaps you were Canadian. Since I just did a border run for Smarties yesterday…I thought I’d ask if you know of a place here in MI we can buy them?
BTW, I found you because you found me on Twitter. :)
No, I have no source in Michigan. I usually get them when I’m off the continent. I haven’t seen them in Windsor but I know someone has brought me from NE Canada before.
In Prague, Smarties are called Lentilky (or something like that).
