Happy Thanksgiving

I hope everyone has time today to think about the things we are all thankful for. Of course I’m thankful for my family, friends, health and all that stuff but there are so many extras that we take for granted.

I’m thinking if you’re reading this over the holiday weekend there are some assumptions I can make about readers (bloogees?) and what they we may take for granted: a computer, Internet access (high speed?) and the skills to do all this. Assuming you have all that, it probably means you’ve got food, shelter, heat and necessities that others may not have.

This (Internet stuff) is what some of us do for fun and if you’re like me you go into withdrawal if you don’t have access for a while, but it’s really a privilege and most of us don’t think of it that way any more. These days it seems like some of these things are necessities of life but we need to remember and be thankful for them…

That’s it, I’m done with my sermon. Just be thankful for everything and don’t take too much for granted. Have a Happy Holiday and drive careful.

Another U2 First

112304_CompleteU2The Complete U2 is only available from the Apple iTunes store. It includes every album they’ve ever done, 40 unreleased tracks and a digital booklet. As far as I can tell it’s 446 songs for only $149.99 (you get $50 off if you bought the U2 iPod).

Now while that’s only 35 cents a song, you have to consider anyone who wants to buy it probably owns a good chunk of the albums already so it’s really costing more than that to get the new songs… If you were U2-geeky enough to get the U2 iPod an extra $100 is probably a no brainer…

Anna Nalick – super-mini review

So the iTunes free song of the week is Anna Nalick‘s “Breathe (2AM)”, this is a great song. Pretty earthy but a few of her other samples seem like there might have more of a beat. It’s only free until Monday the 29th(?).

Check out Single of the Weekher site for more info and more clips…)

I had actually bought it already… It was recently in a movie or on a WB/UPN show and I really enjoyed it. Free is good!

After this week click here – Anna Nalick

Busy Busy…

So it’s been a little busy lately. But too busy for blogging…? Here’s a quick update.

  • rearranging my living room some, trying to make some more room for watching the “tube”.
  • above rearranging should help with room for holiday decorating (i.e. tree).
  • if it actually snows this this week that’ll motivate with the tree.
  • finished three (yes 3) of the books I’ve been concurrently reading (Moneyball, A shortcut Through Time and _____). I’ll do some reviews later (yeah, right).
  • I found my misplaced copy of Cooking To Hook Up, which I should read. Coincidentally, the week after Thanksgiving has traditionally been a good dating week for me, so I should probably start studying… Don’t ask me why I remember this but I’ve noticed it more than once.
  • I got another 2,500 songs loaded up on my iPod. The hard part is now figuring out what parts of my collection is not on there.
  • Saw the Incredibles, very fun. I will review this soon…

    Katie’s getting Married!

So in less than two months Quinton asked Katie to marry him on November 15th. That’s just awesome! Congratulations!!!!

    The saddest Joan ever

This episode was probably the saddest ever. It might be the saddest show I ever saw on television. What I don’t understand is why can’t they make an episode and make my laugh that hard?

And I’m really nervous that Joan is going to lose it and their going to send her back to cRaZy cAMp. By herself…

Which is pretty scary considering she’s probably got a grip better than most of the other people in Arcadia.
