CSS hell

So I've never been able to figure out this website design problem, and evey few months it starts to bother me. My blog is supposed to look like this but it looks like this. You can see it only goofs up where the date book (style dayday)

Generally it looks good except in IE (mac/win) and then the columns look funny. I can tweak it (add a position:relative tag to the white box [blogbody] with the border) and make the columns look more even, BUT then I lose 95% of the images in Windows IE (it doesn't seem to be consistent to if they have link tags or not). And whenever I start I'm always having to start messing with the z-indexes which never seem to help....

If you're not sure, this is a plea for help!!!

I got motivated on this because SimpleBits refereed to this page which I thought might be relevant but it wasn't (so far).

So maybe this just should be IE hell for the title...

Is it Christmas yet?!?

It was a relatively normal weekend but that stores/malls were packed. It's not even Thanksgiving yet! And on the other had since I was there, and the sales were good I did by more than a few presents while I was out. Wasn't my plan, but it's nice to be ahead of the game!

What else did I do this weekend...? Oh I had a five (5) hour meeting at work on Saturday, that's where the day went.

Otherwise I shopped, relaxed and slept. Right now I'm at the burger joint that has WiFi but it's broken today :(

In a minute second I'm outta here and off to see the Bourne Supremacy.

Rats - I just realized I still need groceries too...

Lists make me happy.

Okay, it's rare that I do postings to just totally promote another site, so you know that means you'll want to see this one. The list of lists from Timothy McSweeney. (Collected by, not necessarily written by).

My favorites (so far) are:

  • The High-Anxiety Alphabet
  • Letters That Have Never Brought You an Episode of Sesame Street
  • Golf Course Names That Sound Dirty
  • E-mail Addresses It Would Be Really Annoying to Give Out Over the Phone
  • Sexual Euphemisms That Won't Catch On

  • Bourne Supremacy

Good movie. Saw it at the second run theatre for a whole $1.50! Good print quality! A bit to similar to the first though. Too much chasing, not enough McGuyver-ing, some interesting plans/schemes by Bourne and not enough Julia Stiles (and I'm still traumatized sad that I didn't get to see her in Oleana when I was in London)

What gets me about most of these movies is most them them could be cleared up (or at least explained) by a short phone call, a voicemail, an e-mail from any internet cafe or a fax from the local Kinkos.
