but alex doesn’t die..and the shooter wasn’t a teenager…the only similarities between the too series is that they are british..

So I never finished the followup to my previous Alex Rider post, it was to lay the ground work for this post. There are spoilers here so if you’ve just recently started reading these novels you’ll want to NOT read this….

even i have read and also heard that rowling commented that harry is most likely to die in the last book…i had no idea abt this alex rider tho…

Yes lots of people have theorised that Harry will have to die at the end of book 7 …. :) not sure how well that secret will be kept if that’s the case.. heh

I think there’s an Alex Rider movie in the making.

I met Anthony a few years ago and he signed my Foyle’s War DVD covers. Anthony told us about another YA series he had years ago, Groosham Grange, that was written BEFORE Harry Potter. Here’s how his site describes these books: “A school on an island that teaches magic. A boy with magical powers living with unpleasant relatives. Heard it all before? This one was written first!”

Because of the HP books, Anthony told us he wasn’t planning to continue his series–he had plenty of other stuff to write. I don’t think these are available in the U.S.

I strongly recommend Foyle’s War and wish there were books to go with the TV series! (Sorry this is so long!)
