The bright side

I do have to agree with Judi the is one good thing out of the Terri Schiavo media coverage: people are thinking and talking about what their wishes are. I just hope they’re writing them down also…

I hope that some families do this and it helps avoid the problems and pain the Terri’s family is having.

Free Gmail accounts

If you’ve been wanting a Gmail account (1 GB of storage), I’ve got accounts to give out, it’s your last chance to try and get yourname@gmail.com (they’re slowly opening it up to the public). No charge. No cost.

MYOB: So I’ve kept my mouth shut on the Schiavo stories…

So everyone is chatting about Schiavo whom they don’t know about just giving their two cents. I haven’t give my two cents but since you asked, I would say it’s time to let her go, no matter what end you measure it from it’s probably the best thing in the long run.

But that’s not why I’m here today. I’m here for something far more local and that I actually have a little bit of an opinion on because it happens in my neighborhood.

Stargate Atlantis Directors Commentary

As I mentioned in an earlier post that Battlestar Galactica is now podcasting a Directort’s Commentary, it now appears that Stargate Atlantis is doing the same thing. I wonder if this is the wave of things to come on the SciFi channel…?

Boring…

So it’s Friday and I’m off to bed early (again). We did hit happy hour a few hours earlier than usual (since work was closed today), we actually left at the time we usually arrive. Still, I think I might need a few more things going on in my life to keep me busy. Actually, a few more things related to dating (and not sleeping) would probably be more of a step in the right direction…

Made In Heaven – TGIF

1. In your opinion, how important is spirituality in a person’s life?
I really think it depends on the person and the situation that they are in.
2. On a scale of 1-5, how spiritual are you?
I’m about a two-and-a half. But that’s just an average, I think I spike up and down so I’m all over the place. I’ve had times when I’ve been pretty low and a few times I was a six.
3. If you could ask God a single question and get the answer now, what would it be?
When will I die? (Just the fact that I could get an answer would answer about a million other questions I have).
4. Do you believe in miracles?
Yes.
5. Ever experienced a miracle? If so, tell us about it.
Yes. I’ve seen and held a brand new baby. The most “brand new” one I ever held was premature and he was so small I couldn’t even believe it, I was glad he was so covered up in blanket or I would have been afraid to hold him. (That couldn’t be any more miraculous unless they grew on trees.)

Audio Book Samples

I really love the Apple iTunes Music Store (some of the links on this page won’t work if you don’t have iTunes installed). In case you didn’t know they offer (for free) Music Videos and Movie Previews. They also offer Audio Books and once in a blue moon they’ll offer the first chapter for free download. This seems like a good marketing scheme but it’s really hit or miss, I mean you can get a free iTunes song every week but you never know when you’ll get a free chapter…

Sometimes they just have something odd for free like some extra interviews at the Academy Awards but you never know when. Does any one know of a better way to find these free items/events?!?

Kelly says: I am who I am

Kelly has the newest blog that I’ve been reading. It’s name is I am who I am. I don’t have much else to say other than to take a look. She just started last Sunday so there are only a half-dozen posts so you can see for yourself. Her post on the high school shooting yesterday really puts a lump in your throat; it’s really more her thoughts and feelings about it that’ll get to you…
