Last night I watched the season finale of The 4400. It was great, it really wrapped more than a few things up and then turned around but also created a bunch more possibilities in the last five minutes. (I’ve got a few spoilers in the extended entry so don’t read them if you haven’t seen it). The title of this post indicates leans towards one of the (unfortunately) used premises in science fiction (and comics), I was afraid it might be used and it was, we’ll see how it pans out next season. I also predict the title of this post with be the title of an episode next season, probably the first or last episode.

Characters Welcome

Logo Tm 297 SmSo I really like this new “Characters Welcome” advertising that the USA Network is doing. It’s very different, people from the show doing their “thing” but it’s not footage from the show:

You can get into their [awful] web player at the USA site and view some of them by clicking “characters” in the upper right but I’ve got no way to link the specific ones that I had pointed them out here. The great ones with the little psychic girl from the 4400 is NOT on there but the fun ones with Johnny Smith and Monk are there.)

    The 4400

    Only one more day until The 4400 return (again) to USA. I liked this series (although there were certainly portions that I didn’t like) but it had a X-files meets Taken kinda flavor. In case you never saw it, there was a UFO siting, a flash of light and all of a sudden 4400 alien abductees from the last 100 years were returned, same age, no memory of where there were and some have some new abilities (okay, so I left a few details out). It’s the whole secret behind the little girl and why were they all returned that interests me. They clearly left the series open for a sequel but most times they generally never get back around to doing it…
