Gas Prices

So I just passed about twenty gasoline stations from Dearborn to Wyandotte and every single one (except one) was $2.99. That’s every station from Michigan and Schaefer/Coolidge to Jefferson/Biddle and Eureka. That’s pretty good from the stories I’m hearing out there. Oh and the one the wasn’t $2.99, it was $2.92! (it was at Biddle and Northline if you’re from around here). I also noticed places like http://www.detroitgasprices.com/ have been keeping their information up-to-date with these higher prices…

  1. I paid $2.99 this morning in Huntington Beach, and near the airport in Irvine it was $3.05.

  2. Gas here is typically just under $3.00. It’s all in the $2.90s.

On one hand I’m happy that it is sub 3 bucks. On the other, I hate myself for even feeling just a little bit that this is acceptable.

  3. We’re paying $1.38/Litre at the moment. Given that there’s about four litres in a gallon, ($5.52), and our dollar is worth about 76 US cents, we pay about $7.25/gallon for our petrol :) (assuming I’ve done all my calculations correctly heh)
